Creating a new document for your logo
- Throughout this chapter I'll be showing you how to create this graphic, and I'll be doing so in a way that requires no sample file. All you need is Adobe Illustrator to get exactly the same results that you see onscreen. Now as I demonstrated in the previous chapter, creating the logo was not actually a linear process so what we are about to do is only possible with the benefit of hindsight. And so what we're going to do in this movie is create and customize a new document. So the first thing you want to do, once again inside Illustrator, is to go up to the File menu and choose the New command, and then go ahead and change the profile to Basic RGB. So even though one of the versions of this document will be a two color print job, we're best off working in the RGB space because it's a lot more flexible.
