- What we're going to do today is create a mountain scene. Big, tall mountains with thick, rich forests deep in the valleys of these mountains. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to create a layer right here and we'll call it The Mountains. All right, now, it sounds complicated but it isn't. All we need is a Filter and the 3D function found in Photoshop, this guy right up here. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to start with my colors. I'm going to go in here and I'm going to pick a nice deep gray. A nice deep gray like that. That's going to be the actual tops of the mountains. Just rocky areas that are bulging up into the sky. And then for the background color, I'm going to pick a deep green. This is going to be the color of the forests that are in the valleys of these rocky cliffs. Click OK, and I'm going to go in here and in that Layer I'm going to apply a Filter. I'm going to apply the filter Clouds. Now, you see it's kind of muted, right? You've got these little grays with…
