(musical sting) - [Instructor] Welcome to Drawing Vector Graphics Laboratory. In this movie, we're going to explore creating a linocut-inspired motif using some custom brushes created by Chris Spoon of Spoon Graphics based out of the UK. Chris kindly gave me permission to use them in this movie and allow me to include the full set in the exercise files, as well. So I just want to say a public thank you to Chris for doing that. Now, linocut traditionally done is using a linocut tool with a blade, and you carve out areas on a thicker sheet of linoleum. You then apply some ink to the surface with a roller, and that gets pressed against paper to produce a copy of your artwork. So we're going to somewhat attempt to mimic this process using custom linocut vector brushes in Illustrator. With that said, let's get started.
