(cinematic music) - [Instructor] Welcome to Drawing Factor Graphics Laboratory. Now, I should point out before I jump into this that I debated with myself over the title for this movie. I could have called it Creating a Fat Line Icon as well, because essentially, that's where we're gonna take this, aesthetically speaking, but in truth, it can be any weight whatsoever. I just happened to settle on a fat look and feel, but this is best shown than explained so let's jump into this right now. This is gonna be the theme of this design It's gonna be a lobster, and it's all about simplifying form. Yes, this is a realistic photograph of an actual lobster but we're gonna capture the essence, but we wanna do it really simple and I could explain this all I want, but it's easier just to show you and here's a nice thing about this. Anybody can do this style, so if you're familiar with Erin Drapeland and the look and feel he's achieved with a lot of his artwork which borrows cues from the 1970s…
