- And what if, heaven forbid, even the double outline isn't enough? What if Superman's home planet of Krypton is exploding in a comic book for the 2,347th time, and the artist has rendered every last pebble of kryptonite in such painstaking detail you just can't bear to cover it all up? Don't worry, we have the answer, the hollow sound effect. So I'm going to zoom out and take a look at this sound effect so far. Now when I look at this scrunch we did in panel four, pretty nifty sound effect but what I just notice is you know what, it's covering up an awful lot of the artwork. It's kind of hard to really tell what's really happening in there. As neat as that sound effect is, it's not really doing it's job if it's obscuring what's happening in the panel so we need to see a little bit more of his knuckles I think so we can tell what's going on so I'm kind of grabbing the scrunch and I'm scrunching it down. So it's still got some impact, we can see his knuckles on the other side so…
