(steam puffing) (whooshing) - [Instructor] Welcome to Drawing Vector Graphics Laboratory. There is no one way to build vector artwork within Illustrator, so the more you can leverage a wide array of methods, the easier it'll be to create whatever you may need. In this movie we're going to create a promotional graphic motif that'll be used to promote a local city. The style is one anyone watching can pull off and do, so let's get started. Now, I live in the Pacific Northwest, specifically the state of Oregon, and if I travel outside of the local area where I live, it'd only take me about 20 minutes to get to an outdoors nature scene that looks like what you see here. This is a river here in Oregon, and this is shot looking down the river, and we have a lot of greenery, a lot of trees. It's a beautiful place to live, and so this is what's going to inspire our creation of the graphic mark.
