- [Instructor] Welcome to Drawing Vector Graphics Laboratory. I really enjoy a good movie, but more than the genre itself, I've always been fascinated by what it takes to create a movie. Often the stories behind the actual productions are just as fascinating, if not more so than the movie itself; but in this movie, I want to cover a genre of design a lot of people never think about but it's very critical for movie making in that it facilitates the story telling. So let's jump right into this, and I want to specifically address something which is called production design. Now within design circles, that phraseology, that term, tends to mean something completely opposite of what it means within the context of movie making. In the context of design and production design, it's often thought of as a designer creates some project, let's say it's a business card or a poster, and those files get handed off to post production people and those people take it and set it up so it's going to work…
