- [Instructor] All right, now we're going to create this rectangular margin. Now, the thing is, illustrator doesn't really let you control the margins per se, but it does let you do something that's potentially even more powerful. You can draw literally any line or shape with any tool and convert it to a custom guide. And to see what that looks like, I'll go ahead and switch over to my center guides document and then, I'll select the rectangle tool. Now, if you're not seeing the rectangle tool at this location, then click and hold on whatever tool you are seeing and choose the rectangle tool from the file menu. Now, the tool's pretty straightforward. You dragged with it in order to create a rectangle from corner to the opposite corner, but there are a few tricks that are worth knowing about.
