I received an email asking me how I would approach creating custom type that fit into a pre-established shape, or how to fit typography so it kind of free-forms within a given shape. So in this movie, I'll demonstrate the process I use to create this type of design, and once created, how easy it is to use in a variety of different ways. So let's jump into it. Now, the creating process, like every creating process I work on, whether I'm doing a design or an illustration, whether it's a complex illustration or an iconic illustration, it all starts in drawing. It all starts in analog. And in this case, our narrative, our theme if you will is an apple, because we're going to do some typography reflecting New York City, the big apple.
