(screw turning) - [Instructor] Welcome to drawing vector graphics laboratory. As you've seen in previous DVG lab movies I enjoy using Adobe Illustrator as a staging ground for creative exploration. Design and layout takes an artistic eye to compose elements, balance negative and positive space, in order to create engaging visual communications. So in this movie I want to deconstruct a collage poster design and show you how I use several functions found inside Illustrator that tend to get overlooked but when used well can create some very compelling results. Now on this project it all started with inspiration and the genesis of everything I'm about to show you was this photograph. Now I have Google Chromecast in my office and I have a third monitor mounted to the wall so photos are always being pushed to it through that service and this is one that was from NASA that was pushed to it of an astronaut walking through a room and as soon I saw this I grab my Iphone and took a photo of it…
