- Welcome to Drawing Vector Graphics Laboratory. The best way to make your creative process more efficient is to realize what tools work best for specific types of styles and projects. So in this movie, we're going to revisit the shape building tool, and showcase how it's ideal for creating what I call positive-negative motiffs. Let me walk you through the process. So it all started with drawing, specifically a symmetric drawing. Now the nice thing about using the shape building tool, especially when you're creating a design like this, is you don't have to be super technical and precise with your drawing because you're going to be using precise tools and geometric shapes to create it. So that's important to point out, up front.
