You can create real, media-like brushes in Illustrator. It gives you tons of flexibility and effects that are easy to achieve and really add a wow factor to your designs. Here I have some flat artwork that I created. With these watercolor effects that I made, I can convert this flat artwork into something that looks like it was hand drawn or hand created. In addition to overlaying this on top of the flat artwork, you could use this just by itself to create a completely different look. We'll look at how I created this in this movie. The way that I started this was I actually took some artwork that I made and brought it into Photoshop. I'm going to jump into Photoshop now. Here's the artwork that I created. All I did was take some art paper, and I just painted some watercolor strokes along the art paper. And then I scanned it and brought it into my computer.
