Watch this video to see a creative and editable way of creating a ring chart in Illustrator.
- [Instructor] Although Illustrator can create…several types of graphs natively in the program,…unfortunately, it doesn't have the ability…to create a ring chart, which seems to be…in high demand right now.…I'd like to share with you a method…that I came up with for creating ring charts in Illustrator…while giving you the ability to precisely adjust…the values at any point in time.…Now, what I've done here in this document…is I've created five circles, okay,…and I've applied a stroke to each one of them.…If you look in the Layers panel,…you can see that I've also labeled each one…for easy identification.…
Now, what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna grab my Ellipse tool…and I'm gonna set the stroke to None and the fill to None…and I'm gonna draw an ellipse…that encompasses that outermost ring.…Now, what I'm gonna do is I'm also…gonna just choose Edit + Copy to copy that circle right now…and I don't need to Color panel right now…so using my Selection tool,…I'm gonna select that circle I just drew,…and I'm gonna Shift + click on the first circle.…
