Converting points with the Pen tool

- In this movie I'll show you how to convert a corner point, first to a smooth point, and then to a cusp point, and finally back to a corner point using the Pen tool. And we'll be taking advantage of the one modifier key we haven't seen so far, which is the Alt key on the PC, or the Option key on the Mac. So for starters, if you Alt-drag or Option-drag a corner point in a selected path outline, so it can be either active or selected, you'll convert that point from a corner to a smooth point. So let's say I go ahead and wake this path up, and this time I'll do so by clicking on this end point, just for the sake of variety, with the Resume cursor, and then I'll add a few additional anchor points as well. So this is not only a selected path, it's also active as indicated by the plane active cursor. Now let's say what I want to do is I want to take this top corner point right there and I want to turn it into a smooth point, so that we have a nice, smooth arc at the top of the shape. Well…
