Converting multiple points with a single click
- All right, this last trick works only inside of Illustrator. What I'm going to show you is how to convert a whole bunch of Corner Points to Smooth Points with one click, and, while it's not specifically dependent upon the Pen Tool, it works great with paths that have been drawn with the Pen. So, the first thing I'm going to do is press the "a" key to switch to the White Arrow Tool, and then I'll go ahead and click on an Anchor Point of this zigzag, and, as you my recall, this zigzag line is made up exclusively of Corner Points. Now, notice up here in the Control Panel, when I have an Anchor Point selected, I can see these Point specific options, including these two Convert icons, the first of which converts the Point into a Corner Point, and the second of which converts it to a Smooth Point, so, if I click on the second icon, I will convert that Anchor Point to a Smooth Point, like so.
