- [Instructor] Texturing our textures come from raster image files. And if you have raster image files, like ping files or jpeg files embedded in your illustrator artwork, then you can use them as the basis for new textures. For example, here in our file, we have this grayscale image of some wood grain. And I can tell this is embedded in the Illustrator file when I select it by the fact that I can see this Unembed button here in the Properties panel. So to convert the embedded image to a texture, I'll open the Texture panel by switching to the Texture tool and in the Panel menu, I'll choose Convert Raster Art to Texture. The Texture Manager opens and I can set the options that I want for this texture. So let's give it a better name than the default, which is just Converted.
