Convert RGB swatches to CMYK swatches
- [Instructor] If your art was created in the RGB color mode and then converted to CMYK, you'll notice that the CMYK mixes are not whole numbers. This can also happen with art originally created in the mobile apps Illustrator Draw and Adobe Comp. Many designers prefer to design with CMYK colors because they know that these colors can be matched on press. When they come across art originally colored in RGB, they'll go about converting those numbers to whole CMYK values. We can use Recolor Art to somewhat automate this process but within limitations. I also think it's worth questioning why you would want to do this and if it's necessary. If you're working in a color-managed workflow, I'd argue that you probably don't need to round off your CMYK color mixes. You may not even need to convert to CMYK before sending your file to print.
