Continued use of found textures - Illustrator Tutorial
From the course: Creating and Using Textures for Design
Continued use of found textures
- The first found textures I want to share with you right now were derived from a used record store where I live in the town up in Oregon and literally these were in a discount bin. They're only a dollar a piece and the reason why I bought them is they have absolutely great surface textures on them and its surface textures like this album cover. I'm calling it Memphis blues, it was a blues album. You can see where the record itself created the texture and this is going to work great specifically for the project I was working on at that time but just in general you could use this for other purposes as well as once I show you how I apply this to a design in Illustrator. First, I scanned it in. This is the original scan of this album cover but I need to do some work in Photoshop in order to make it a useable texture. Now we're going to go over adjusting curves and levels in more detail in another movie to show you how to create those assets but in general I'm going to walk through it…
