Connecting two open paths

- In this movie, I'll show you how to connect two open paths in order to create a single open path, or if you like, a single closed path. For starters here, you can see that we have the Create cursor with its sparkle, meaning that whether any path is selected or not, no path in a document is active. The first thing we need to do is move the Create cursor over an endpoint, and again, any endpoint is going to do, at which point we'll see a diagonal line, which indicates the Resume cursor. Now, that diagonal line appears in both Illustrator and InDesign. In Photoshop, however, the cursor embellishment is a tiny anchor point. The next thing you want to do is click with the Resume cursor on that endpoint, and that's going to go ahead and select the endpoint, and of course it also activates the path outline, as indicated by the plain Active cursor.
