Composing and customizing a graph
I've saved my progress as All birds are go.ai. In this exercise, we're going to take this birds graph right here, and we're going to introduce it into the final island background. So if you're working along with me, make sure that you have this illustration open, as well as this one: it's called Lonely island.ai. It's everything that we saw at the outset of this chapter, except for the graph itself. All right, so I'm going to go back to All birds are go.ai and I'm going to click anywhere on the graph with my Black Arrow tool to select the entire thing. Then I'll go up to the Edit menu and choose the Copy command, or press Ctrl+C. Now I'll switch over to Lonely island.ai, and I want you to click on this line of text right here, the one that says Percentage Of The Population Purporting To Be: Go and select that. It is the one and only object on this graph layer inside the Layers panel. Then go to the flyout menu and make sure Paste Remembers layers is turned off; that way we can go…
