To complete the Dashboard screens, Andy walks you through duplicating and modifying the dashboard tiles. He discusses how to unify the design by being consistent with type and tone.
- [Instructor] In this movie we're going to complete…the dashboard screens by duplicating the tiles…that we have here and changing the content of them,…so that we have representation of all the things…that we're going to be tracking in this app.…And so what I'm going to do is just,…I just want to just turn off the sketches…just to see how it's all looking.…And we should be quite pleased and proud of ourselves…that we've achieved this…in quite a short space of time really.…But now by using or reusing some of these components…we can really build out the rest of this quite quickly.…
So let's get to work.…I'm going to take everything that we have here…and zoom into this tile,…press V, and Alt + drag out a copy.…Now what I'm going to do is I might reposition this first tile.…It's going to be important to get this right at this stage…just so that we're aligned correctly.…And if I turn off the sketch…I should be able to see a bit more easily what I'm doing.…
Now I'll group everything…and just nudge it in a bit.…And the same with this, I'll just group everything,…
