Colorizing a line art template

- Alright, our final project will be to take this collection of free form polygons that I drew entirely by clicking with the Pen Tool, so we have nothing but corner points, and we're going to go nuts with round corners in order to create this fully realized piece of artwork here. Now this isn't necessarily the kind of thing you'll want to do on a regular basis, but it is a demonstration of what you can do if you want. And just how powerful round corners are inside Illustrator. But first I'm going to show you how to colorize a tracing template. So the idea is we want to distinguish our lines from the original pencil sketch by colorizing the sketch as you can see here, and we're going to do so by creating a big rectangle and setting it to a special blend mode. Alright, so I'll go ahead and start inside this artwork that has all the free form polygons, but does not yet contain the template. And then I'll click on the template layer in order to select it.
