- [Instructor] In this movie we're going to make buttonholes and bar tacks. For smaller buttons, buttonholes are pretty simple. It's usually just a straight line that sticks out behind the symbol. It's going to be one point with no fill. We'll make sure that that is in the back so right-click, arrange, send to back. And that's pretty much all you need for a buttonhole on a small button like this. Let's select the whole thing and make a symbol out of it. So now we have a button with hole symbol. That's the first one. Pretty simple. The next one we're going to do is a buttonhole for denim jeans that we're going to use with this button. And that's also not very difficult. We're going to take the pen tool and start by clicking in the center of the button. You're going to drag the pen tool straight out and then click and drag straight down. If you'd like to hold the shift key to keep it constrained, you can go ahead and do that. And then click back where you started. We're going to change…
