In this tutorial, Tony Harmer shows how you can modify the Adobe Illustrator workspace to suit your own requirements. You'll learn that there are different workspaces that exist for automation, painting, layout, image tracing and typography then how to create you own configuration.
- [Instructor] So now you know something about panels…in Illustrator, how they work,…and that there are many of them.…You don't, of course, need all of them all the time,…and it's not a good idea to clutter up your workspace…with several panels.…So, we have a feature in Illustrator which allows you…to change what you can see.…If I come up to the top of the application bar just here,…you'll see it says Essentials at the moment,…and if I click there, there are a number of other things…that I can access.…
So let's have a look at Layout, and if I choose that,…you'll notice that the interface now changes,…and it gives me panels that relate to layout-based tasks.…If I come back up to the top and choose Painting,…then again, the configuration changes here, and now…it's things that would work well if you are painting.…Let's explore some more, Printing and Proofing gives me yet…more panels, this might look similar to the others,…but I've got other panels here like the separations…preview for example, which is important in output,…
