- [Instructor] When the icon that you wish to create is based on a doodle like this here, where you have a freeform shape, where you don't really need any of the regular shapes that you have here, like for building perfect circles or ellipses or rectangles here, what you would like to do here, or what you need to do, is to automatically trace over all of this artwork here. Now, of course, nothing is stopping me from just selecting the pen tool. And now just going over now, not just the outside but the inside of the shape as well, but why spend 30 minutes to an hour when I can just click on one button? Now, what I have here is the imported image of my doodle here. If you want to import images yourself, the only thing you need to do is just choose File, then choose Place and go and select that image. I've already done that for you here.
