In this movie we'll achieve the final version of our art work.…And we'll do it by applying an effect to an entire group,…and then we'll turn around and apply an effect to an entire layer.…Alright so here's my illustration so far.…The first thing I want to do is apply a drop shadow to my letters.…And the best way to accomplish that is to select…the Fasus just by clicking in one of the spirograph patterns.…Notice Illustrator's telling me on the left hand…side of the control panel that I've selected an entire group.…And to make a drop shadow, you go up to the Effect…Menu, you choose Stylize and then you choose the Drop Shadow command.…
These are the default settings. That means we have an opacity of 75%.…The mode is multiplying, meaning that we're…going to burn the shadow into the background.…I'll explain what that means in more detail in just a moment.…And we have got our x and y offset points meaning that…the shadows going to move 7 points to the right and 7 points down.…Blur is set to 5 points, that's all just fine by me.…
