Align to glyph bounds
- [Instructor] If you've ever tried aligning elements to type, you've probably found it more difficult than it perhaps should be but now, that will be made a lot easier. In the file I'm using here, I'm just going to turn off the layer behind with some illustrations of the text box and actually click on this piece of type just here. And the reason it's so large is that you're actually seeing what is known as the em box, Okay? So that's the big-sized thing around there. And up until recently, that was the way that text was sized. Of course, this version of illustrator has changed all of that, as you'll see if you haven't already. So what I'm going to do here is select this red rectangle here, hold down shift, okay, and then I'm going to choose align top from the align panel just here. And you'll see, it does exactly that, it aligns to the em box. What I'm going to do is enable this new feature. So from the align panel…
