Adding sketches
- Now that all of our organizational stuff is out of the way, and we've learned how to create a preview window down here, for our file we're ready to start adding artwork. And the first thing I want to do is add all of the sketches that I've done for each of the icons and remember my sketches are really kind of loose, they're really more than anything else serving as a guide for where artwork is going to go and what the general icon is going to look like. I'm not actually trying to create artwork from them. Alright, once again, organization is key. So I want to go to my Layers panel and I, notice again, we have layers for each one of these, I'll start with Journal. And what I'm going to do is, I want to make sure that I'm importing the artwork to the proper layer and there's a very quick and easy way to do this. The first thing I'm going to do is select the Sketch layer, highlight that by clicking on it, that means that this is now the active layer, in this case Sketch sublayer. The…
