Adding shade to the tree bark
- So now we have our nice little bark on our tree and stuff we're going to give it a little dimension. We're gonna go in there and start adding some shading. We can kind of turn off this layer back here. We can even crop it if we want at that point but we need to add some shading. Each of these limbs and the main trunk will be handled separately as they are now. So right here, right on top of the bark, I'm going to create a layer and we're going to call it shade. And I'm going to make sure it's clipped to the main trunk as well. I get black from my foreground color, and I get my paintbrush and I'm going to make sure it's a nice size and very soft. Soft edge 'cause these branches are kind of rounded so we need to have a really soft edge to it. So I've brought it all the way down to zero and there's the size you can see. We'll make it a little bigger. I'll also bring the opacity down to about a 50 percent. Right about a 50, 51 percent, that's good. So it won't be so dark, we don't want…
