Adding color

- As a digital letterer, most clients will expect final files with colored captions, burst balloons and sound effects. Here are some tips for adding color to your lettering. Even if you're working over black and white art and have no idea what the colors will be on the page. On this page of Elephantmen, we've been coloring objects as we've been going along. Since we're working over colored art, it's easy to tell if what we're doing is going to work or not. But then there's also some things we haven't colored yet in. We back up and look at the whole page. It kind of looks strange to have some sound effects in color and some not, it looks like these aren't finished. And I would agree these are not finished. So let's go up and color some of these balloons and sound effects. Now when we're choosing colors there's sort of two approaches.
