- [Narrator] Alright so, our tattoo lines…are looking pretty good, but obviously…they're extending too far outside of the image,…which is why we need to mask those lines…using a combination of whole layer masks,…which we first saw in chapter 23 of the advanced course,…plus I'm going to show you how…to copy a mask from Photoshop,…and paste it into Illustrator as an opacity mask.…So, the first thing you need to do,…is to roll open the image layer…as well as this clipping group,…and then I'm going to select this guy right here,…and I'm going to Alt or Option-drag him…up to the tattoo one layer.…
And notice, because I have the Alt or Option key down,…that I see a little plus sign next to my cursor.…And I can do that, even though the layer is locked.…So that's something you can do inside the Layers panel,…that you can't do outside in the Document window.…Alright, now the next thing I want you to do,…is twirl the tattoo one layer open.…Now, the fact that it's underlined…tells us that Illustrator thinks…that this path outline is serving as a whole layer mask.…
