- What we're going to do this week is create a little number two pencil. It's going to be in 3D, so we can position it any way we want. It's going to be used, it's going to be around for a while. The first thing we're going to do is go in there and create the basic body of the pencil. And I'm going to get my polygon tool here which right now is set to three, so I'm going to set it to six sides and create a little shape right there, right there in the middle. About like that, that's good. If I go to my paths and I'm going to save that. I'm going to call it body. Okay. Now, I'm going to take that body and, in a new layer, right here, I'm going to say new layer, and go to 3D and give me an extended, a 3D extrusion from the selected path. And there it is. So what I'm going to do now is I'm going to take that guy and I'm going to rotate him so that he's straight up-and-down this way. There he is.
