- As you start approaching your drawing, you want to keep some helpful tips in mind. Once again, you want to pick a side or front view, or maybe you have some other view you want to use. You want to explore different ideas, don't just settle on one idea, and stick with it. Consider other options, consider other possibilities. When you do that, you discover things that are unexpected. A monster can be anything, once again. Nobody can look at your monster and say "That's not a monster." Really? Have you seen a monster? So draw anything you want. Strange and weird is very good, monsters are always great for that kind of stuff. Think in shapes when you're drawing, what I mean by that- If you're drawing an arm, think to the arm shape. What is the profile of it? That's going to help you draw it. If you're drawing wings, what kind of wing? Is it a bat wing? Is it a bird wing? Think to the shape, that's going to help you draw it.
