Detailing the monster
- Now that we have our inking done, on our scary add-ons. Every other stage had three steps; you drew out your design, you cut it out, and you inked it. This stage has one additional step, a fourth step, and that is to colorize or detail your monster. Now with my monsters I kept it kind of monochromatic; I used a white pencil and it just has a nice contrast with the craft paper and so that's how I chose to detail these monsters. This is one of my characters and this is the other one. So at this stage, you can also use colored pencils to kind of create the color with your monster. Now on this monster here, I chose to use colored pencils but instead of filling the entire surface of my paper craft character with that pigment of color, in this case green, I just chose to use it as an accent, to allude to that color.
