Day 3 challenge: Drawing idioms
- Welcome to day three of the five day drawing challenge. Today's drawing challenge theme is drawing idioms. An idiom is a phrase or a fixed expression that has a figurative or sometimes literal meaning. Every culture has their own unique idioms, and some idioms are universal in their meaning and application. Here's several idioms you've probably heard before: you're the apple of my eye, barking up the wrong tree, it's a small world, or, pulling your leg. Your challenge today is to pick any idiom of your choice and draw it out without using words or letters. This challenge will solely rely on your drawn visual to communicate the idiom you've chosen. For example, if I choose the idiom, steal someone's thunder, I might draw this to communicate that idiom without using words or letters. Idioms are rich in visual metaphors. So do some research and pick your favorite. If you're not sure what idiom to use then check out the exercise files for this course where you'll find helpful links to…
