- Welcome to day five. The final day of the five day drawing challenge. The last drawing challenge theme is Narrative Drawing. A drawing has the capacity to capture and relay a narrative no matter if it's a mere doodle or a refined illustration. Compelling stories have motivated artists throughout the ages to draw equally compelling images. So we're going to tap into the same source of inspiration in fueling our own drawing efforts today. For today's challenge, I want you to select an old used book, with the genre or story you enjoy. You may need to visit a used bookstore if you don't have one on hand, and if you can't find a book using a newspaper story of your choice is a good alternative to draw on. Your challenge is to create a drawing on one full page that is derived from the narrative of the book. It should reflect what the book is about or illustrate a specific part of the story contained in the book or newspaper. Drawing doesn't need to be clean, stark, white surfaces. It…
