- Welcome to Day 5, the final day of the 5 Day Drawing Challenge. The last drawing challenge them is a caricature drawing. Celebrities and historical figures have been lampooned throughout the ages by artists who have drawn funny or critical caricatures of them. Drawing a caricature isn't about photo realism and it's not distinctly a portrait either, it's about capturing the specific attributes and essence of a persona and exaggerating it in a drawn form. Maybe the person has a big nose, or a funky hairstyle, or always smiles in a certain way? Picking up on these cues and visually exploiting them in a fun and clever way is what caricatures are all about. So, your last drawing challenge is to pick a celebrity or historical character that inspires you and draw a caricature of them. Don't rush this, take your time.
