The Seven Ways: A service management manifesto
- Before we move on, I just want to highlight the source of these seven ways. As you can see, I've laid out the application techniques I have found to be vitally useful over the years in the style of the agile manifesto. I've used this style because it helps contrast the approach to other approaches in use and organization that are either overused or used exclusively and often don't work so well. As with the agile manifesto, it's not that the things on the right aren't important or useful. They are or can be. It's just that the things on the left are more important and useful. I know this is a lot to grasp, but don't worry. We'll go over each technique in this video. For now, I just want to take a moment to emphasize the approach so you have it as context. You can see that the first four statements value other approaches over engineering and enforcing end to end process activities.
