- [Instructor] An important idea we need to have in mind as we think about working at home is the difference between work and personal. If your organization issues you a computer, a phone, a tablet, a webcam, a printer, or any other kind of hardware, the understanding generally is that that device is only supposed to be used for work activities. In fact, if you've been issued hardware from work, chances are you've signed a document to this effect. The same goes for software and online services, things like subscription software tools, email, chat software, and so on. You should only perform work activities using work resources, and only take care of personal tasks using personal resources. It can be really tempting to blur the line here. Just think of how easy it is, when you have a few minutes between work tasks on your work computer, to pop over to an online shopping site and put in your grocery list, or buy that book…
