When to not renew the agreement

- [Instructor] Sometimes the best move is to decline to renew your MSSP agreement. Here are some obvious signs it's time to move on. You're getting very poor performance, and you see no hope of improvement. Or, maybe your working relationship has descended into contempt and disgust, with no obvious way of returning to a more productive state. Sometimes you want to change the way the work is getting done, and the MSSP doesn't want to do that with you. Or, the renewal terms from the MSSP doesn't make sense for you, including steep price increases. So, once you decide to end the contract, be sure you know how that works and when you need to give notice. It may not be as easy as you expect. Something important to watch out for are so-called evergreen clauses, which is a term that is similar to this one. If triggered, an evergreen clause automatically keeps the contract in effect, which allows the MSSP to continue delivering services with the expectation of being paid. Obviously an…
