- [Instructor] So what should you know before taking this course on DevOps in the cloud? Well, the assumption is that you have a basic understanding of how cloud computing works. And really, a basic interest in requirements and how planning works and how architecture works. In other words, a fundamental understanding of what IT is, storage systems, compute systems, programming systems, things like that. So the skills required would be understanding what business requirements are and how to translate them into technical requirements. Understanding the core basics of cloud technology. Understanding what data is and how it works. Understanding the basic concepts of security. Understand what governance is and how it's applied. And business skills, in other words, how you can pragmatically look at this technology and understand how it translates into solving problems for business.
