- [Instructor] This course is designed for students who are completely new to Nessus. You don't need any prior experience running vulnerability scans or performing cybersecurity assessments. I'll walk you through everything you need to know, even how to install the Nessus scanner on your network. You should have a basic familiarity with system and network administration. If you understand the use of IP addresses and network ports, that's a great start. If not, you'll pick it up along the way. Nessus vulnerability scans build upon the concept of port scanning. If you're not already familiar with this topic, you might want to first check out my course on Nmap.
