From the course: Understanding and Prioritizing Data Privacy
Welcome
(upbeat music) - Data and the information that is derived from that data is critical to the individual that it describes, is critical and crucial to organizations that process that information that would provide services, and products, and goods and experiences to that individual. Data and information is crucial for citizens and government to interact in a positive, productive and future facing way. I'm Michelle Dennedy, founder of the Identity Project and coauthor of "The Privacy Engineer's Manifesto." How do we use data? How do we explore data? How do we extract value and protect data? And how do we all get this done, so that we can become true innovators to propel ourselves into a future that is data-centric, but doesn't leave behind the values that we hold so dear as a culture?
