IP addressing for internet communications

Since all devices on the internet communicate using IP addresses, it's no surprise that understanding the fundamentals of IP addressing is a required skill for any IT professional. And in this course, you're going to learn the ins and outs of both IP version four and IP version six addresses. Specifically, you'll learn how IP addresses are structured, the different categories of addresses, how addresses get assigned, and how an easy to remember name can be translated into an often harder to remember IP address. And also, since this is a introductory course, we're going to take non-mathematical approach. Instead, I want you to get a solid conceptual understanding of IP addresses. Hi, I'm Kevin Wallace, a double CCIE, and I've been teaching IT courses for the past two decades. So join me in my LinkedIn learning course about the fundamentals of IP addressing.
