- [Instructor] The tool the techies use to examine and control storage in a windows computer is the Disk Management console. Tap the windows key to pop up the start menu and type Computer Management or as much as necessary to see this item and choose it. In the Computer Management console below storage, choose Disk Management. Here, you see a list of storage devices, available to this computer. The details aren't the same as found in the this PC window, because more information is shown. For example, this list shows logical volumes and not just discrete physical media. And the bottom of the list, shows the physical media and the partitions are separate volumes available to each device. Disc 0 is the computer's primary hard drive.
