- [Instructor] Virus construction kits are programs which provide a user with a way to produce viruses without resorting to coding, by just selecting the required features from a menu of options. These kits use standard building blocks of viral code and construct them based on the selected requirements. Virus construction kits can be considered in two categories. The first has a user interface, asking the user to supply details, such as the type of replication desired, the infection criteria, the triggering conditions, and what the virus will do when detonated. The second uses a configuration file which details the functions of the virus to be created. In general, virus construction kits have good documentation and are easy to use. Some of the virus construction kits come with context-sensitive help, professional quality, and most of them are furnished with a ample supply of ready-made example viruses to study.
