- [Instructor] So what is the business benefit of DevOps and leveraging DevOps on cloud-based platforms? So, really we have to deal with looking at the business benefit because we have to sell the capabilities of this technology to the executive team that exists with inside our company. And that's because they're basically Stewards of the investors, people who are investing in the company and we need to make sure they're satisfied with the business benefit that's coming through here. So we have a couple of things here. If you look at line of business and operations, you know, for example, 70% of the budgets are devoted to maintenance and operations. It takes, you know four to six weeks to deliver any minor application changes which is unacceptable because as business need applications to change to align themselves better with business changes such as market changes. We need to have the ability to become more agile.…
