- [Instructor] Algorithm design. Taking a step back, we've spoken generally about what algorithms are and some elements of why it's important that they're responsible. But what exactly is a process of creating an algorithm and what exact steps are needed to make it responsible? Every project can be seen as a set of winding roads, and in a way, it follows a similar process, a familiar process, but they're all different in their own way. I'll go through a number of different steps along an algorithm design process and how you can add responsible elements. How can we follow a responsible process? How can the current process change? Current process that I have starts with a purpose. This is usually a business case or a driving reason why you'd need an automated decision system.
