(upbeat music) - [Instructor] In the previous challenge, I asked if you could have a look at a local issue regarding data rights and applied AI. One story that did come to mind was around photo recognition or facial recognition and using CCTV cameras. In New York, a camera was set up in a local park and with just using $100 of computing power, they were able to record the faces of everyone walking by and match those to a local college database. Now, there are 9000 camera feeds in lower Manhattan alone, but in China there's actually one camera for every seven people on average. So there are massive amounts of surveillance, massive amounts of data being captured, and it's quite easy to actually apply AI to that data.
