- We just talked about the benefits of deep collaboration between expert humans and advanced machines to play better chess. In this video, we'll look at a few more examples if how XAI may have benefits for us in our everyday lives. First, let's take a look at the very simple example of how XAI might help us have a better driving experience through a maps application on our smartphone. Currently, you can have one of your favorite apps on your smartphone help you with directions to get from one location to another. Say, home to work. The maps application will give you driving directions from your house to your office that is optimized based on time and a few other factors, such as avoiding highways, tolls, or ferries, or least amount of walking, or number of transfers. It does take into account things like traffic conditions, train, and bus schedules. Although it's far more convenient than using a paper map, it still does not compare to having an expert human that knows you well…
